Quality Control Manager

As a member of the Quality Assurance function, the QC Manager will be responsible for the planning, daily management and proper documentation of all Quality Control activities at Kardium to support product release. This position will report to the Manager, RA&QA. Providing QC support to Manufacturing and Engineering, including: • Assist with first article inspection and other R&D metrology needs • Assist with root cause investigation and resolution of quality problems • Assist with the QC implementation of Engineering Change Requests. Education and Experience: • Bachelor's degree in engineering or other applied science, or equivalent. Master's degree preferred • Minimum of 7 years' QC experience in a regulated manufacturing environment, including management of QC staff and operations • Strong, in-depth working knowledge of GD&T, MSA (e.g., GR&R study design) and SPC • Extensive experience with standard measurement tools/systems (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, dial indicators, force gauges, etc.), and preferably with advanced, high-precision CMMs and optical measurement equipment for micro-scale metrology applications, such as complex-featured mechanical parts and subsystems • In-depth knowledge of medical device cGMPs, standards and regulatory requirements pertaining to Quality Control • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills • Strong analytical skills and critical thinking • Effective written & verbal communication and technical documentation skills • Able to operate independently with minimal direction • Flexible and adaptable to take on additional responsibilities as appropriate. Senior Engineer

The Generation Engineering Maintenance Services (GEMS) Turbines team provides expert equipment support in the field of hydraulic turbines, governors and generators for BC Hydro's fleet of hydroelectric generating stations. The successful candidate will: • Provide technical support services to the fleet of hydroelectric generating stations and the asset management group • Trouble shoot, test, and trend equipment health issues • Provide technical guidance for turbine and generator site installations, overhauls and equipment failures • Lead the field testing and inspection of new, rehabilitated and heritage turbines, governors and generators • Provide expert judgment on the condition of equipment and risks of continued operation.
