Product Design Engineer for Waterpark & Attractions Co.
WhiteWater West, Richmond

To become a key contributor to the design, engineering and validation of new waterslide products as a member of the Product Development team. This team utilizes Solidworks software to develop models, simulations and design data for innovative waterslide rides. This position requires participation in design reviews, manufacturability reviews, product launches and product testing and analysis. This an academically challenging position and those with a strong scholastic record will be favoured. Qualifications: • University or Institute qualifications in Engineering • Minimum 3 years' experience in product/machine design, manufacturing or construction • P.Eng designation or eligibility to register with the Association of Professional Engineers of BC • Demonstrated proficiency with 3D CAD software such as Solidworks, Catia or Pro/Engineer • Significant Solidworks experience is preferred • Familiarity with large CAD assembly management or surface modelling is an asset • A strong mechanical aptitude is required • Knowledge or experience in fibreglass production is beneficial • Previous Waterpark or Themepark employment experience is an asset • Building construction experience or knowledge is an asset • A strong academic record preferred • Experience producing detail drawings for machining, welding and assembly • Strong communication skills including written English • Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Reporting to the Superintendent of Roads, this position will be responsible for: • Preparing design drawings work for roads, bridges and related projects and cost estimates related to design work; • Assembling, reviewing, and interpreting survey and related data; • Providing technical information and assistance to District staff, independent consultants, and contractors engaged in road and bridge construction, rehabilitation, and maintenance.
