Transportation Demand Management Coordinator (Auxiliary)
City of North Vancouver, $27.02 - $31.81/hr

Requires an auxiliary Transportation Demand Management Coordinator to work approximately 21 hours per week. You will coordinate communications and community-based social marketing work to advance the City's transportation demand management initiatives. Working with key partners, schools, businesses, and community groups, you will initiate, develop, and coordinate educational and promotional programs, pilot projects and special events. You will have a diploma or degree in environmental science, communications, transportation, planning, business, or a related discipline, supplemented by sound related experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Demonstrated project management skills would be an asset. Excellent interpersonal skills are necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external contacts, as are strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to work independently. Requirements: • A Bachelor of Applied Science degree (Masters Degree preferred) in Civil Engineering, specializing in Structural Engineering, with a minimum of ten years (post registration) of relevant and progressive technical and project management experience; supplemented with at least 5 years of management and supervision of a staff comprised of structural engineers, civil project managers and technicians • Additional qualifications such as a PMP certificate and/or Struct.
