Operations Engineer
Innergex Renewable Energy Inc., Western Region

Working with the Operations Manager(s), the Operations Engineer's primary role is to monitor and coordinate technical administration and operational function of the operating projects. The Operations Engineer will directly report to the Director: • Operations and Maintenance, Western Region • Evaluate the failure rates and maintenance costs of equipment and processes • Conduct the risks analysis and provide engineering solutions to equipment or system failures that could adversely affect plant operations. These problems include capacity, quality, cost or regulatory compliance issues; • Administer the computer maintenance management system and asset management system; • Perform analyses of assets including asset utilization, overall equipment effectiveness, remaining useful life, other parameters that define operating condition, reliability and costs of assets. Project Engineer

We require the candidate has had 5 years experience with an underground excavation contractor with experience in the drill/blast method of tunneling and related ground support including rock dowels and shotcrete. A degree in Mining Engineering or Civil Engineering from an accredited University or College is required. The Project Engineer will report directly to the Project Manager and will be responsible for coordinating the engineering on the project and will liaise with the project designers and the field, making sure the work is executed according to the design. The candidate as Project Engineer will be responsible for managing the Field Engineers and coordinating with Survey. Responsibilities include the oversight of the operational portion of a major tunnel construction project. Responsibilities include establishing methods to meet work schedule, coordination and oversight of shift work, supervision of heavy equipment operators, training of employees, preparation of production and other reports. Experience requirements include 10 years applied tunneling experience as a Superintendent, Walker, Shifter, Engineer or Inspector in drill and blast tunneling operations, including drill jumbos, scoop tram and mining truck equipment and crew.
