Intermediate Electrical Engineer

This position is responsible for supporting electrical and hardware design and system development in VMCA's medical devices and products. This position works closely with all members of the VMCA Research and Development team to provide technical acumen and development for a variety of technologies. Required: • BSEE or BCIT Diploma or Equivalent • 2-5 Years as an Electrical or Electronics Design Engineer • Practical experience in digital, analog and power supply circuit design • Experience with Schematic Capture, PCB design and MS Office tools • Understanding of design principles for regulatory compliance including EMI, ESD and Electrical Safety • Familiarity with microcontrollers/microprocessors based design and development tools • Ability to perform design analysis using DFMEA, FTA or other recognized techniques • Hands on experience with oscilloscopes, DMM, spectrum analyzers, and other electronic instruments • Skill in soldering, debugging, product testing and verification • Knowledge of FDA, IEC, and ISO regulations.
