Senior Project Engineer (Electrical)
Metro Vancouver, Burnaby

Works with the E&I Maintenance group to develop and implement a current, practical, and cost effective preventative/predictive program. Assists with preventative/predictive technologies training. Provides technical assistance to the E&I Maintenance group for troubleshooting equipment specific problems and identifying equipment that has become uneconomic to maintain or fails to meet performance needs. Requirements: Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 6 years post-registration relevant experience. Membership or eligibility for immediate membership as a registered professional engineer in the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of BC (APEGBC) is required. Solid understanding of water and wastewater system operations and maintenance practices. Solid understanding of regulatory aspects which affect the design, construction, operations and maintenance of water and wastewater facilities, including safety requirements and relevant municipal bylaw requirements. Applicable and proven experience as a electrical engineer in the design and construction of industrial process facilities. Experience preferably encompassing: electrical distribution systems and equipment up to 69kV grounding, lighting and cable tray systems; variable speed drives; instrumentation & automation systems (Emerson Delta V, and ABB INFi 90); Allen Bradley PLCs, and other industrial communication systems.
