About The Event

I'm pleased to invite you to an upcoming virtual mentorship session featuring an internationally trained dentist from Brazil who is currently working as a Licensed Dental Assistant in British Columbia while pursuing his own pathway toward dental licensure in Canada.

Date: Saturday, November 21, 2026

Time: 10:00 AM Eastern Time / 7:00 AM Pacific Time

Location: Virtual (meeting link will be shared upon confirmation)

After arriving in Canada, our guest speaker quickly discovered that being an experienced dentist did not automatically prepare him for the realities of working as a Dental Assistant in a Canadian dental clinic. Transitioning into a different role, adapting to new workplace expectations, navigating working interviews, and gaining Canadian experience brought challenges and stress he had not anticipated.

In this session, our guest speaker will share:

His journey from internationally trained dentist to Licensed Dental Assistant in Canada

  • Common challenges internationally educated dentists face during their professional transition

  • Lessons he wishes he had known earlier

  • Insights into Canadian dental workplace expectations and culture

  • How Dental Assisting can serve as a practical pathway to gaining Canadian experience while pursuing dental licensure

This is an excellent opportunity to learn from someone who has successfully navigated many of the same challenges internationally trained dentists encounter when establishing their careers in Canada. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and gain practical advice that can help them make informed decisions about their own career pathways.

Space is limited. RSVP Register today!

We look forward to your participation and to an insightful discussion with the guest speaker.
