About The Event
We are excited to invite you to an upcoming virtual mentorship session tailored for internationally educated health professionals exploring public health and research careers in Canada.
Our guest speaker is a public health researcher and clinical research professional with 15+ years of experience spanning epidemiology, oral radiology, dental surgery, academic teaching, and research — with training at the University of South Florida's MPH program and hands-on experience at the CDC's NIOSH division.
In this session, you will explore:
What the journey from international clinical practice to a North American public health career truly looks like — the challenges, pivots, and breakthroughs
How to identify and pursue research and public health roles as an internationally educated professional
Practical strategies for standing out in the Canadian job market with an international background
Key credentials, networks, and experiences that open doors in Canadian public health and research
The session will be followed by a live Q&A — a valuable opportunity to ask questions and gain firsthand guidance from someone who has walked this path.
This session is ideal for internationally educated physicians, nurses, dentists, allied health professionals, and anyone considering a transition into public health or research roles in Canada.
