About The Event

This session will focus on building confidence in a new healthcare system, understanding available resources and support programs, growing your professional network, and sharpening practical job search skills like resumes and interviews. Most importantly, you'll hear real, actionable guidance from someone who has walked this path.


About Our Speaker:

Preet Kaur, RN, HBSc, BScN, MscN(c) is a Registered Nurse, educator, and nursing leader dedicated to supporting nurses through education, mentorship, research, and advocacy. She holds degrees from McMaster University and Trent University, and is completing her Master of Science in Nursing at Trent. Preet teaches at Fleming College and Conestoga College's EPIEN program, supporting internationally educated nurses transitioning into the Canadian healthcare system, and currently practices as a SADV and Medicine nurse at Brantford General Hospital. As President of the RNAO Waterloo Chapter, she led it to become RNAO Chapter of the Year in 2025. She's also the founder of Nursing Beyond NCLEX and Chardi Kala Nursing, and co-founder of the Virtual Nurses Open Mic Series—initiatives fostering mentorship and community among nurses. Her work on equity-informed support for IENs has been featured at conferences including CASN, CNA, and the Caritas Community Conference. Preet is passionate about helping nurses build confidence and thrive in the Canadian healthcare system while staying connected to their cultural identities.
