About The Event
Join us for an insightful mentorship session with a Registered Psychotherapist and an internationally educated healthcare professional who successfully rebuilt her career in Canada! Drawing from her personal and professional experience, the mentor will share her journey into the Canadian mental health sector and provide valuable guidance for IEHPs interested in pursuing a career in psychotherapy.
Session Topics:
Mentor’s journey and transition into the Canadian workforce
Understanding how mental health practice in Canada differs from other countries, including relevant legislation and regulations
Snapshot of available bridging programs in Ontario: clinical hours, examinations, and pathways to full licensure
Alternative routes to licensure and career entry
Q&A session exploring alternative pathways, certifications, and strategies to strengthen your candidacy in the job market
