Are you a compassionate and dependable caregiver looking for meaningful part-time work in Richmond?

Home Instead Richmond is hiring Part-Time Care Professionals / Home Support Workers to support seniors in their own homes. This opportunity is open to both drivers and individuals who use public transportation, provided they can reliably travel to clients' homes throughout Richmond.

As a Care Professional, you will provide non-medical support, companionship, personal care, and household assistance while helping older adults remain safe, comfortable, and independent at home.

Responsibilities
• Greet patients warmly and professionally as they arrive, creating a positive first impression.
• Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments using dental practice management software
• Manage multi-line phone systems efficiently, directing calls to appropriate team members and handling inquiries promptly.
• Verify patient insurance information and process payments accurately at the front desk.
• Assist with administrative tasks including filing, faxing, and correspondence related to dental procedures.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Minimum six months of professional caregiving, home support, or senior care experience

  • Ability to travel reliably to clients' homes throughout Richmond

  • Availability to work at least one weekend day each week, either Saturday or Sunday

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on client needs

  • Strong communication skills

  • Compassionate, patient, dependable, and professional

  • Ability to pass a criminal background check

  • Legal eligibility to work in Canada

  • A driver's licence and vehicle are welcome but are not required for this position.


Additional Requirements

  • Must live in Richmond or be willing and able to commute to Richmond for scheduled shifts

  • Must be comfortable travelling between client homes using a personal vehicle or public transportation

  • Must be available for a variety of shift lengths and times

  • Schedules may vary depending on client needs

  • Please note that client assignments are based on location, availability, transportation method, experience, and individual client needs.
