About the Role
A community organization is looking for caregivers that have a desire in making others feel cared for and that will go above and beyond to provide high quality and compassionate care in their client’s home.
Details
Responsibilities:
1) Companionship Services - the companionship services include conversation,
community outings, attending to medical appointments, shopping, stimulating
mental awareness and others as required;
2) Home Support Services - the home support services generally involve but are
not limited to light housekeeping, meal preparation, laundry, changing bed lines,
vacuuming etc.
Educational/Experience Requirements:
1. CPR/first aid certification
2. Previous work experience in health care
3. Currently enrolled in a PSW program in Canada
4. Having additional healthcare related training/certifications will be beneficial
Skills/Assets:
- Due to our highly multicultural population, caregivers that are fluent in
other languages is an asset.
- Ability to work alone and independent.
Availability:
Flexible times, day and evening, weekdays and weekend shifts available. We are
looking for individuals who are available immediately.
Benefits:
- Employee Health Assistance program – Must work a total of 480 hours.
- Eligible up to $1,000/year
