About the Role

Job Duties:

• Answering phone calls, emails, faxes;
• Making and filing charts;
• Signing in patients; scheduling and confirming appointments;
• Liaising with eye care and other professionals; communicating with surgeons regarding patients;
• Receiving and processing referrals and paperwork; cross-covering for other work sections – may involve learning related skills e.g. use of an equipment

Details

  • MOA Diploma/Healthcare training are asset

  • Good communication skills both verbal and written

  • Interested in working with the public and possesses a friendly demeanor

  • Comfortable in working with computers and new technology

  • Ability to triage and multitask successfully

  • Able to work independently as well as in a team environment

  • Detail-oriented

  • Possesses a high degree of professionalism and integrity

  • Willingness to cross-cover team members in other work sections
