About the Role
The Registered Nurse (RN) reports to the Director of Care and/or designate and is the role model and team leader who coordinates and supervises the activities and duties of those who deliver direct resident care. The RN performs duties and monitors departmental activities in accordance with established standards, regulations, policies and procedures to maximize person served holistic quality care while maintaining resident respect and dignity.
Details
Graduate of an approved program for Nursing and holds a current license with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) as an RN.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing an asset.
Valid Occupational First Aid Level 1 certification and CPR.
Successful annual Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) competency testing.
Previous experience in a long term care facility an asset.
All successful applicants must pass the vulnerable sector Criminal Record Check applicable to Provincial guidelines (See BCCNM license).
All successful applicants must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 based on the PHO Vaccine Mandate.
Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently and understand verbal and written instructions.
Computer skills including the ability to navigate basic computer programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook.
Must be in good health, physically able to perform repetitive tasks, lift, squat, bend, stand and walk as required to perform the duties of the position
