About the Role

Build a Unique Surgical and Aesthetic Practice in Northern Alberta
We are seeking a highly motivated Surgeon with a particular interest in Aesthetic Surgery to join our growing multidisciplinary medical and cosmetic practice in Fort McMurray, Alberta. This is an exciting opportunity to develop a rewarding blend of aesthetic, reconstructive, and surgical care while serving a vibrant and underserved community.

The ideal candidate is a licensed surgeon who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient outcomes, building long-term patient relationships, and expanding access to aesthetic procedures in Northern Alberta. Opportunities may also exist to obtain hospital privileges and participate in surgical services within the regional healthcare system.

• Responsibilities
• Conduct comprehensive patient consultations and treatment planning
• Perform aesthetic surgical procedures within the scope of training and credentialing
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative care
• Develop individualized treatment plans focused on patient safety and outcomes
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Participate in quality improvement and patient education initiatives
• Support the growth and development of the clinic's surgical and aesthetic services

Details

Qualifications Required

  • Medical Degree (MD) and completion of accredited surgical residency training

  • Eligibility for independent practice registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA)

  • Royal College certification or equivalent specialist qualifications

  • Excellent clinical, communication, and patient management skills

  • Commitment to evidence-based practice and patient-centered care

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fellowship training or additional education in Aesthetic Surgery, Cosmetic Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Facial Plastic Surgery, Dermatologic Surgery, or related fields

  • Experience performing cosmetic surgical procedures

  • Interest in non-surgical aesthetic treatments and comprehensive cosmetic care

  • Previous private practice experience is considered an asset

  • Interest in helping build a regional centre for aesthetic and reconstructive services
